How to Use Peter Answers
Posted on April 27th, 2009 by ElainePeter Answers is a site known as an online or virtual tarot, answering questions about any topic you’re interested in. What you don’t know is, there’s a secret to this site, and you can generate the answers to your own questions, baffling other people. Interested? Here’s what you should do.
What You’ll Need:
- PC with Internet connection
- Peter Answers website
- Questions
Procedure:
- Go to the Peter Answers website. You’ll see two text boxes there, one for your “Petition” and another for your “Question”.
- Select a question. If you’re doing this with your friends (whom you’d like to play a trick on), ask them to think of one. The important thing is to know what’s the expected answer to the question, otherwise, Peter will end up giving a generic statement, such as “I will answer in silence”. The trick won’t be effective. If you don’t know the answer to the question, tell them to say it out loud, so Peter will hear them using his psychic powers. If you know the answer already, you can proceed to the next step.
- Enter the text in the “Petition” box. According to the direction, you must type in something like “Peter, please answer”. Instead, you’ll be typing in the answer to the question.
- Instead of typing the Petition indicated in the directions, start your text with a period, then write in the answer you’re looking for. For example, your answer is “because he is hot”, type in “.because he is hot”. While you’re typing, the letters that appear in the text box is the petition, even if you’re putting in something else. That’s what your friends will see.
- After you finish typing, your Petition will still appear to have some more missing letters. To complete it, end the answer by typing in another period. Afterwards, keep typing whatever letters are needed to complete the Petition.
- After the Petition is complete, type in a colon. This is essential, because without it, you cannot type the question.
- Type in the question in the Question box, ending it with a question mark. Example: Why are guys jealous of Chuck Norris?” After typing in the question mark, a box appears with warnings on privacy. Click the “I Accept” button, so Peter will answer your question.
- Peter will think for a second, then display the answer you typed in the Petition box: because he is hot.” Your friends will be amazed!
A Few Tips
- It’s better to look at the keyboard while you’re typing in the answer.
- Be careful about typos and grammar! Your friends will be suspicious if Peter comes up with an answer with wrong grammar or typo.
- To keep your friends’ eyes away from the keyboard, ask them to look at the screen and check if what you’re typing is correct.
If you love playing tricks on your friends, then Peter Answers will be fun for you. Try it, and see how many questions you can fool them with, before they find out the site’s secret!
