How to Smell Good
Posted on September 24th, 2009 by aileenAside from a pretty face and a nice outfit, carrying a good scent makes you more attractive. Here are some useful tips you can follow to smell good.
- Practice good hygiene. This doesn’t mean just taking a bath everyday. Brush your teeth regularly to avoid bad breath. Use mouthwash. Take care of your feet, especially if you sweat a lot to prevent smelly feet. Make sure to wear clean clothes everyday.
- Layering scent. If you want to let the fragrance linger longer, use the same scent for your soap, lotion and cologne. There are various bath sets available on the market. Choose the scent that you like.
- Perfume. You can also opt to buy a nice perfume. Make sure to carry a small bottle of it in your purse or bag so you can spray yourself anytime that you need to.
- Baby powder. If you don’t want the heavy scent of perfume or the flowery fragrance of body lotion, try dusting powder on your body before putting on fresh clothes. Baby powder has a light and refreshing scent that isn’t irritating. Be careful not to put some on your clothes.
- Essential oils can also be used to smell good. Dab some on your neck, the back of your ears and wrists. These oils also have various effects. Lavender oils have calming properties while citrus oil can be invigorating for our bodies.
- Strong scented shampoo. The scent of shampoo lasts long on your hair.
- Scented body lotion. A regular body lotion has a subtle hint of fragrance. If you don’t want to use perfume or cologne, find a body lotion that has a strong scent and can linger on your skin for a long time.
- Body sprays and deodorant. Men usually opt for body sprays instead of perfumes. When you have body odor, no amount of perfume can mask the smell so don’t forget to put on deodorant.
- Don’t smoke. The scent can stick on your clothes and hair for a long time. Even if you spray yourself with perfume, the cigarette smell would still be there.
Smelling good is easy if you know how to take care of yourself properly. It also doesn’t come with a tag price. There’s no need for you to buy those expensive perfumes. Practice good hygiene all the time. Boost your confidence a little more by not only focusing on how you look. Smell good to feel good.
