Ringtones make answering phone calls cool and stylish. As the phone plays out a popular or edgy tune, the people around will probably bear looks, at times reactions, of approval. Anyone wants that kind of attention. You can if you know how to send and receive ringtones through your mobile phone. Since Bluetooth offers no charge for sending stuff, might as well use it to your advantage.

Step 1: Select a Ringtone

Find a ringtone that fits your preferences and your personal style. The ringtone selection is usually found under Profile Settings or Phone Settings. Check the selection and highlight your chosen tone. Click options, which opens up a menu for sending.

Step 2: Switch on Bluetooth for the Recipient’s Phone

cellphonesBluetooth requires both the sending and receiving phones to be synchronized for an exchange of information to take place. Simply turning on Bluetooth for the receiving phone is not enough, especially if you’re in a populous place, since there may be numerous Bluetooth connections switched on. The receiving phone must have a distinct name for its connection so the sender can easily distinguish it.

To activate Bluetooth, you should, first, go to your phone’s Connectivity folder or Network folder, depending on the brand of your unit. Select Bluetooth then view the settings. Change the default name to a more distinct one then set the Phone Visibility to Shown to All. After fixing the settings, switch Bluetooth on.

Step 3: Establishing a Connection

Go back to the sending phone. Select Send then Send via Bluetooth, which shows a list of connections that your phone is picking up. Find the recipient’s connection and select it. Check the recipient’s phone if it bears a confirmation message for receiving a file. If it does, select Accept. If not, try reconnecting again through the sending phone.

Step 4: Receive the Ringtone

After the receiving phone accepts the ringtone, a bar or a window showing the transmission of info will appear for both phones. A successful exchange will appear as a window that says Successful or Completed while an unsuccessful one yields Connection Lost or An Error Occurred. If the transmission failed, just re-establish the connections between the two phones then resend.

Step 5: Set the New Ringtone

When the tone has been sent, go to your phone’s ringtone selection and cue the one you just received. Go to the Settings and select Set as Ringtone. Ask one of your buddies to call you. Once your phone rings, you can then style and profile right before answering. Snazzy, ain’t it?
