Inexperienced chefs who cook burgers often end up with bland, tasteless meat that doesn’t taste good at all. To ensure that you don’t, you must learn how to properly season your burger. Seasoning gives the patties an explosion of flavors, leaving you extremely satisfied and craving more. Here’s an easy way to season a burger.

What You’ll Need:

  • Seasonings
  • Ground meat
  • Bell pepper
  • Minced onion
  • Garlic
  • Egg

Procedure:

  1. Wash your hands with antibacterial soap and water. You’ll be kneading the patties with your hands, so you have to make sure you don’t transfer germs and other bacteria to the meat.
  2. Determine what seasoning you want to use. The great thing is, any type of seasoning works well with a burger. Pick one which fits your mood or taste buds. Some simple examples include black pepper, salt, crushed red pepper, onion powder, garlic powder or Italian seasoning. A dash of worcestershire would also taste great.
  3. Defrost your ground meat. While waiting for this, you can get the veggies and chop them up. Wash and chop the bell peppers in small pieces, then mince the garlic and onion. These greens will add a delightful taste to your meat.
  4. When the meat has defrosted, put it in a bowl and add in the freshly-chopped ingredients. Use your hands to mix them in thoroughly, making sure the veggies mix well throughout the meat mixture. Knead the vegetables well.
  5. Sprinkle the seasonings of your choice over the meat. Make sure you spread it evenly over the mixture, so the taste will be even. Make sure you don’t overdo the seasonings, though, or the taste will become too overpowering. Knead in the seasonings well.
  6. You can add in a raw egg as a binding agent, so the patties will form and cook better. Mix it in well, making sure it covers all the ground meat.
  7. Form the patties using your hands. If you have a patty mold, you can use it too.
  8. Wash your hands thoroughly when you’re done forming all the patties.
  9. Fry the burgers or grill them.

The perfect burger starts with the right seasoning. Follow these easy steps and your burgers will always be flavorful and delicious!
