The office is a place for serious stuff.  You have to pass outputs, create reports, make transactions, or handle stern bosses during office hours.  Such a venue calls for much professionalism, except for one particular day - April Fool’s Day.  Aside from doing office work, naughty folks pull pranks on their colleagues, at times even their bosses.  Nobody is safe, so might as well beat everyone else to the punch. Here are eight pranks that you can pull on the silliest day of the year.

The Fake Cockroach Prank

Some toy stores sell plastic cockroaches.  Purchase a few of those than cover the wings and portions of the head with a black marker, making them look real.  Bring those babies in the office then slip them on the cubicles of your female coworkers, when they are not looking.  Word of advice: cover your ears.

The Photo-Grabber

Go to the social networking accounts of your officemates and grab their most ridiculous pictures, especially scenes from their drunken escapades.  Post them on the office bulletin board for everyone to see.

The Surprised Party

Approach a random officemate then yell, “Happy Birthday!” Moments later, your entire department will flock your surprised coworker’s cubicle for an instant birthday celebration.

The Messed Up Mouse

During lunch time, sneak back to the office and go to the cubicles of some of your officemates.  Switch the functions of their mouse’s left and right buttons.  Set the scrolling speed to the slowest then cover the infrared light with cardboard and tape.  If your coworkers are using ball mice, just tape the mouse ball’s opening.  They’ll probably hate technology right after you pull that prank.

The Frozen Monitor

During lunch time, when no is around, go to the workstation of your chosen victim.  Grab a screenshot of the computer desktop and then make it the wallpaper.  Conceal the task bar and the icons, creating a totally uninteractive replica of the actual desktop.

The Office Accessory Parade

Bring a sturdy transparent string then tie it to several office accessories like hole punches, staplers, sharpeners, and random desk decorations.  Tie one end of the string to the bag, shoelace or beltline of your coworker.  Now watch your how victim lead a parade of office accessories.

The Cable Switcheroo

When everyone’s out of the office, switch the cables of your coworkers’ computers and monitors.  They’ll think there are ghosts as they watch their cursors move on their own and open windows.

The Photo Photocopier Caper

Borrow a tiny ID picture from your pals and bring it to the office.  When no one is looking, photocopy the photo on about 50 to 100 hundred sheets of paper.  Return the sheets to the photocopying machine’s feed.  You’ll know your plan worked when people start looking for a certain photo stuck to the copier.

April Fool’s Day is the only time of the year when making monkeys out of coworkers is tolerated.  You might as well take advantage of that fact.  Feel free to post your own April Fool’s Day Office Pranks here as well.
