How to Make a Yogurt Face Mask

If you want beautiful, blemish-free skin, you should opt for homemade facial masks, such as those made from yogurt. Yogurt is a healthy and creamy base of many skin care products, with cleansing properties and wrinkle-tightening benefits. If you want to make a yogurt face mask, here are some recipes for you.
Yogurt and Orange Juice
What You’ll Need:
- One tablespoon of unflavored yogurt
- Three tablespoons of freshly-squeezed orange juice
- One tablespoon of natural honey
Procedure:
- Put the yogurt in a small bowl, then add the honey. Like yogurt, honey is known for its gentle cleansing capabilities. It can clean pores, kill germs and rejuvenate the skin. Mix these two ingredients properly.
- Stir in three tablespoons of freshly-squeezed orange juice. The orange’s role in this mix is its antioxidant properties. It protects the skin, acting as a natural sunscreen and assisting it to produce collages that help maintain the skin’s firmness. Mix it in the homey-yogurt mixture thoroughly.
Application: Wash your face with warm water, then pat dry. Apply the mask evenly on your face and neck, and leave it for 20 minutes. Use warm water to rinse it, then pat it dry.
Yogurt and Milk
What You’ll Need:
- Unflavored yogurt
- Honey
- Milk
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Tea tree oil
Procedure:
- Scoop two spoonfuls of yogurt in a small container, then pour in a small amount of milk. Add some honey, then stir the mixture.
- Add tea tree oil. This helps get rid of blemishes.
- Mix in some extra virgin olive oil, for soften skin.
- Mix all the ingredients properly.
Application: Massage the mixture on your face and let it stay there for 15 to 20 minutes, or longer if you want. This is edible, and you don’t have to worry if you put some in your mouth; just don’t eat it all! Wash off the facial mask with warm water, then dry your skin gently.
Yogurt and Green Apple
What You’ll Need:
- One green apple
- Three tablespoons of unflavored yogurt
- Two tablespoons of honey
- Food processor
- Knife
Procedure:
- Wash the apple, then dry it. Use a knife to peel it off, and remove the core. Afterwards, cut it into quarters.
- Put the apple, yogurt and honey in the food processor. A blender also works all right. Blend these until you end up with a smooth mixture.
- Put the mixture in the fridge for two hours, or until it becomes cold.
Application: Wash your face, then dry. Smooth the face mask all over your neck and face, then leave it on for ten minutes. When you wash it away later, you’ll have smooth and beautiful skin.
