Ready for a delicious “weapon”? A marshmallow gun is a fun way for kids to “shoot” at each other without getting hurt. Relatively easy and made from simple PVC tubes, you can make your own marshmallow gun too…just don’t forget your marshmallow ammunition when it’s done!

Materials

• Marker
• Ruler
• Cutter
• 2 Elbow bend connectors
• 2 T-shaped connectors
• 2 End caps
• Mini marshmallows
• Art materials

Procedure

1. Use your ruler and marker to mark out six five-inch sections of the PVC tube. After marking them, mark the next section in eight inches. Use your cutter to cut the pipe off that mark. The result should be a 38-inch PVC tube with the correct markings and measurements.
2. Cut the 38-inch tube into the marked sections. You should end up with six five-inch sections and one eight-inch section.
3. Take one T-shaped connector and insert one end of the eight-inch section into one of its holes.
4. Get a five-inch section and insert it into the other horizontal end of the T-shaped connector where the eight-inch section is inserted.
5. Get another five-inch section and this time insert it in the third hole of the T-shaped connector. Put a cap on the end of this section. This will now be your marshmallow gun’s handle.
6. Go to the five-inch section connected horizontally to the first T-shaped connector. Put another T-shaped connector on the other end in such a way that it will look like an upside-down T.
7. Put a five-inch section into each opening of the second T-shaped connector. Put an elbow connector on each end of the two five-inch sections.
8. The connector of the vertical pipe should be facing away from the eight-inch piece while the connector on the horizontal pipe should be facing down.
9. The last two five-inch sections should be inserted into the elbow connectors, and a cap put on the end of the vertical pipe.
10. Make sure all connectors and caps are sealed properly.
11. Decorate your marshmallow gun any way you like. You can use paint, stickers or colorful tape.
12. Load the gun with mini marshmallows by putting the marshmallow int the opening of the uncapped small pipe. Take a deep breath and blow the marshmallow into the opening. The marshmallow should come out from the marshmallow gun’s barrel.
13. Try blowing again if you’re not successful the first time around.
