You’ve been crushing on this girl for some time now and you’re just about ready to say your feelings. The only problem is, you’re not sure she really likes you back, and you’re afraid to get rejected. If her actions faze you, here are some helpful signs that she’s also into you.

She Will Talk

Even if you’re always the one starting the conversation she will respond. Try to make small chat with her and see if she talks back. If she looks uninterested and makes excuses to get away, then back off; she isn’t into you. If she talks back, listens, and hangs out, laughing at your jokes no matter how stupid they are, then it’s possible she likes you too.

Another tip: watch her body language. Listen to her voice’s tone, notice if she does anything with her hair (playing with it or twirling and tossing it). Does she stammer a little or blush at your complements? Does she look at you and flutter her eyelids a bit? These are also telltale signs of how she feels.

If She’s Really Into You: Even if she’s in a hurry, she will make an effort to stay and chat. Or she’ll stay up all night texting or talking to you on the phone. Anything to keep the conversation going.

She Will Flirt

Girls are skilled in the art of flirting. It’s their way of letting guys know they are interested. If she’s the straight forward type, she’ll be very open about it, manifesting it in physical contact (squeezing your shoulder or giving you a small hug) or saying bold compliments. If she’s shy, she’ll probably just give you one or two compliments. Be careful though, because some girls can be too flirty, even if the guy’s not their type.

If She’s Really Into You: She’ll flirt first.

She Looks At You

Girls are like guys; if they like someone, they’ll stare or they’ll always keep an eye out for that special person. Observe how the girl you likes looks at you. Does she stare? Or maybe she pulls away quickly, flustered at getting caught? Either way, she likes you back. She’s probably just waiting for you to make a move.

If She’s Really Into You: She’ll smile. Smile at her and see if she returns it. Notice how her eyes light up when they look at you.

She Becomes Jealous

Women, in general, are naturally jealous. If they set their eyes on a guy, and see him flirting, hanging out, or even just talking with other women, they’ll feel insecure and would act strange. Observe how she reacts when you’re with other girls. Does she become angry at you or at them? Does she look hurt? Or does she try to bring back your attention to her?

If She’s Really Into You: She’ll try to make you jealous, too! She’ll flirt with your best friend or brother, even though you’re 100% sure she doesn’t like him.

She Will Tell You

The time had passed when women are coy and shy, and men have to do all the wooing. Many girls today are headstrong and confident. If she notices that you have something for her, she’ll cut the chase and tell you that she likes you. Or this can happen after you’ve told her your feelings. When it does happen, make your move: she’s yours.

If She’s Really Into You: She’s the one who’ll ask you out for a date.

A Few More Tips

  • Chat with her friends. If she likes you, she’ll be telling them all about it. Don’t be over-friendly though or you’ll look like you’re flirting or stalking.
  • Don’t be cocky. Girls can tell cockiness from confidence. It’s a turn off.
  • Be honest. Don’t tell a girl you like her, unless your sure. This can lead to a lot of trouble later on.

Girls are very hard to read, and you might need to look for a few more signs aside from the ones mentioned here. If you really like her, though, you won’t mind going through all the trouble. Everything will be worth it in the end anyway, when she becomes yours!
