How to Guess a Baby’s Gender
Posted on June 18th, 2009 by CarmeliaMany decades ago, pregnant women had a number of unscientific ways to determine the gender of their unborn baby. With today’s technology, that’s no longer necessary, but that doesn’t make the guessing game any less fun. Here’s how you can tell your baby’s gender before the ultrasound results even come out!
It’s a Girl
- If you experience morning sickness throughout your pregnancy.
- If the heart rate of your baby is faster than 140 beats per minute.
- If you’re carrying high.
- If you’re craving for sweets and sweet food.
- Some say that if you look more pretty and glowing, it’s a girl. On the other hand, a more haggard appearance suggests that the unborn girl is stealing your beauty away.
- Tie your wedding ring on a string. Let it swing by itself for a while. If it’s moving side to side, you’re having a girl.
- Add the number of the age when you conceived with the numerical calendar equivalent of the month when you conceived. If it comes out odd, it’s a girl.
- You crave fruit.
- You crave orange juice.
- If your left breast becomes bigger than your right breast.
- If your stomach becomes perfectly round, like a basketball.
- If your urine is a dull yellow color.
- If you are moodier than you usually are.
- If your pillow faces south while sleeping.
- If your hair gets red highlights during the pregnancy.
- If you have a tendency to lie down on your left side.
- If you don’t get too tired while pregnant.
It’s a Boy
- If you do not experience early morning sickness.
- If the heart rate of your baby is slower than 140 beats per minute.
- If you’re carrying low.
- If you’re craving for sour and salty food.
- If you’re having a more difficult time, looks-wise, they say the more aggressive growth of a boy is to blame.
- If the father of your child is also gaining weight.
- If your urine is a bright yellow color.
- Tie your wedding ring on a string. Let it swing by itself for a while. If it’s moving in a circle, you’re having a boy.
- If your hands are very dry.
- If you are craving meat and protein.
- If you’re having frequent headaches.
- If your nose is growing bigger.
- If your stomach is slightly pointed, it’s a boy.
- If your areolas have darkened a lot.
- Add the number of the age when you conceived with the numerical calendar equivalent of the month when you conceived. If it comes out even, it’s a boy.
- If your hands are very dry.
- If your pillow faces north while you’re sleeping.
- If you have a tendency to lie down on your right side.
- If you’re always tired.
