Change is inevitable. We experience it everyday. In order to have a stress free life, you have to be able to deal with life’s changes effectively. Here are some ways you can follow to deal with change.

Have an Open Mind

You can’t avoid change. Whether you like it or not, it’ll always be a part of life. Embrace change and make it work to your advantage. Don’t dismiss it. Getting fired from a job sucks all right, but it also means that you now have the chance to look for a better job. Being a drama queen won’t help. Do you think you’re the only person who is suffering in the world? Some may even have bigger problems, but they’re doing okay.

Veer Away from Negative Thoughts

No matter how bad you think your life is, make sure to always have a positive approach on life. Your actions reflect your thoughts. Keeping a positive attitude is very important. There are no unfortunate events. Like they say, everything happens for a reason. A tragedy, loss or even a heartbreak has a purpose. Face life’s challenges with your head up. Don’t let negative thoughts overpower you. These thoughts are useless. You don’t need any of them. Negative ideas and emotions will only take away your drive to achieve the kind of life you want.

Have a goal

A purposeless life is such a waste. You need to have something to look forward to. Where do you want to be years from now? Have a goal and reach for it. Do whatever it takes to achieve your goal, no matter how hard it may seem. In the end, hard work always pays up. Success are for people who know how to deal with life’s problems. If plan A doesn’t work, you still got 25 letters more.

Be in Control

Changes may take the balance out of your life but that doesn’t mean you can’t be in control anymore. Be brave enough to face these obstacles. Don’t let life control you. You have to control life. When you feel that there’s no hope anymore, bear in mind that hopes are for those who want to make something out of life. There will be nothing to hope for if you don’t plan on taking action for anything.

Live by the 90/10 rule. This rule works around the principle that you’re more in control of life than you imagined yourself to be. 10% of your life comprises of unexpected events. These are the things we call changes. 90% of what happens to you happens as a result of how you react towards that 10%. Yes, being left behind by your boyfriend is under that tiny 10%. Your reaction towards this is under that big 90%. So you really can’t blame your boyfriend for ruining your life because he left you. You ruined yours by deciding to just wither away because you were abandoned.

Believe in Yourself

The only person you can depend on is yourself. When you think about it, you’re really on your own. Your family and friends will only be there to support you. Unless you decide to get up and do something, they really won’t be able to do or say anything that will make your problems go away. You have to believe that you can do whatever you tell yourself to do.

Remember that cliché your friends always tell you? The only permanent thing in life is change. While it may be true, William Henley in Invictus said “I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul”.
