Bluetooth is a very handy and useful technology today, and if you’re a gadget person, one device you might have already encountered is the bluetooth headset. It’s very easy to use as long as you know how to pair or connect it. Here’s how.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bluetooth headset
  • Mobile phone

Procedure:

  1. Get your mobile phone and bluetooth headset. Make sure they are both charged. If not, charge them for a while first.
  2. bluetooth headset

  3. Check your headset and see if it’s in “pairing mode”. For almost all bluetooth headsets, you can do this by having the power off, then pressing down and holding the multi-function button or the one you press when you’re answering a call. Hold it down for a few seconds.
  4. A light will blink, indicating the unit is turned on. Wait for a few seconds, and you’ll see the headset’s LED blinking in red and blue alternately, meaning it’s in pairing mode.
  5. “Find” the headset on your cellphone. In many models, this is a setting you can find in the menu. It’s different for many phones. Older models have this under general phone settings, but if you have a new model, you’ll have a menu option for “bluetooth setup”.
  6. When your phone “finds” your headset, you’ll need to put in a PIN code. Majority of cellphone PIN codes are ” 0000″. Enter this code.
  7. Wait for a message to show on your cellphone, to indicate that it’s connected to the headset. It says something like “Hands Free Connection Established” or something like that.
  8. You can now use your paired headset and mobile phone for various tasks! Headset works up to 30 feet. Remember that when a call comes in, your phone will still ring. You can either use the answer button on it or use the answer button on your headset.

As long as you know how to use it, a bluetooth headset is a handy device you can carry around. Just follow these steps, to use this gadget properly.
