- Click Control Panel.
- Click Network and Internet Connections.
- Click Wireless Network Setup Wizard.
- Click Next on the succeeding screens then place a mark beside the box that says Set Up Network Manually. Click Finish.
- Once done, go back to Network Connections. Right click on Wireless Network Connection. Hit on Properties.
- Click View Wireless Networks. The wireless networks that your laptop picks up are, then, displayed, with the corresponding signal strength and if they are secured.
- Select a network. Open a browser window and see if you can go online.
Alternative Procedure
- On the lower right portion of the screen, locate the Wireless Network Connection icon.
- Right click on the icon, which pulls up a list.

- Select an unsecured network then go online. If you’re entering a secured network, just enter the user name and password. You can go online right after.
If you have a wireless modem at home, you can list the network as a preferred network in the Properties section of Wireless Network Connection. Adjust the settings, if necessary. Your laptop will then prioritize the network over other connections, when picking up wireless signals.

- Hit on Internet Connect, which pulls up the Internet Connect screen.
- View the tabs then click on AirPort.
- Turn on the AirPort. It will, then, pick up the wireless networks in the area.
- Click on a wireless network. Supply a user name and a password, if necessary. Open Safari and enjoy your time online.
You can check the signal strength of each available network. Just select one that has full strength, so you’ll have a stable and speedy connection.
