Since the invention of laptops, it has easier to transport both work and play anywhere we go. Using the computer has become more accessible and portable. However, the same features that makes laptops so convenient are also what makes them so prone to dirt and grime. Learn how to remove the dirt from your laptop keyboard using these methods.

What You’ll Need

To clean your keyboard, you’ll need the following:

  • Screwdriver or knife
  • Shallow bowl
  • A mixture of one part water and one part alcohol
  • A can of compressed air
  • Keyboard vacuum cleaner
  • Old but clean cotton shirt

Steps

  1. Before attempting to remove the keys of your laptop keyboard, make sure that you know what you are doing. Follow the instructions in your laptop’s manual on how to remove the keys correctly.
  2. Once you have removed the smaller keys using a screwdriver, keep the bigger keys like the spacebar or the backspace key on because they can be very tricky to put back on (if at all). It’s also a good idea to make a “map” of where the keys are placed, so you’ll have an easier time putting them back on.
  3. Soak all the loose keys in a shallow
