Summer means bikini season, and unless you’ve got a Barbie-like figure, chances are you’re going nuts when you’re choosing the perfect pair to wear to the beach. Since not all women are blessed with a gorgeous body, it all comes down to choosing the right bikini style for your body type. Here are some tips.

What You’ll Need:

  • A full-length mirror
  • Money

Big Breasts

Women with big breasts are envied by others, but the truth is they can be unflattering, awkward and heavy. You should pick out a bikini that gives the right support, with underwire and wide straps. It should offer full coverage to hold your breasts better. A halter top style is a great idea, better than a string bikini, which might fall off.

Try to find a dark colored bikini top paired with a bright and flashy bottom, to give you an hourglass figure. Patterns and other designs on the bottom help move eyes away from your big bust.

Small Breasts

bikiniSurprisingly enough, its easier to pick out a bikini if your breasts are smaller. You don’t have to worry about support, only about looking good! Triangle-shaped tops and halters are great choices. The smaller, the better, because the more swamped your breasts are in fabric, the smaller you’ll look. You can also get a bikini that has extra padding, so your breasts will be lifted a bit. Bikinis with sequins, ruffles and other decorations also add bulk to your bust.

The bikini top’s print should be light, paired with a dark bottom, for a balanced look.

Big Tummy

If you don’t have flat, toned abs, don’t worry. You can go for a tankini, which will cover your midsection well, giving you a sexy, but not so bulgy look. You can expose an inch or two of your stomach, but you still won’t look fat. Or, you can wear one of the one-piece swimsuits that’s coming back in style. Find one that is cut out on the sides, for a leaner frame illusion.

Flabby Thighs

Thighs are also a problem area for many women. If yours are too flabby to expose on the beach, you can get boy shorts or boyleg bikini style, to cover unwanted flab. You can also minimize them by wearing bikini bottoms with built-in skirts. If you want your legs to look leaner and longer, high-cut bikini bottoms are a great choice.

Small Butt

Not endowed with a booty as big as J-Lo’s or Beyonce’s? To give your butt a bigger and more flattering look, wear triangular bottoms or thongs. Covering up your small butt with more fabric only makes it look smaller. You can also wear large designs, bright colors, beads and ruffles to give an illusion that your butt is larger than it really is. To flaunt your thin shape, you can wear a string bikini.

Large Butt

If you’ve got booty that’s too big to flaunt, you must find a way to hide it. Don’t opt for thongs, and wear full coverage bottoms instead. Try not to have bottoms with bows, designs or flashy patterns, so no attention will be drawn. A dark, neutral color bikini bottom paired with a bright top is a good option.

A Few Tips

  • Try on your bikini before you buy it. Study it in front of the mirror and move around while wearing it.
  • Fit is more important than style, when it comes to bikinis. If your size feels small and uncomfortable, don’t hesitate to try the next size.
  • Stretchy one piece swimsuits give you an overall slimmer appearance.

Whatever your body imperfection may be, there’s always a perfect bikini that’ll look great on you. Follow these suggestions and prepare for to look stunning and sexy on the beach.
