Apply Heat Or Cold

Extreme heat or cold help alleviate the pain and itchiness of the bites. Apply an ice pack or hot towel over the affected areas. Just make sure you don’t burn your skin in the process.

Use Tea Tree Oil

This is an effective, natural remedy that will treat bed bug bites, Just apply it directly to the bites. Not only does it soothe the unpleasant sensation, it also helps disinfect the affected areas.

Procedure

Look for a hard object to base your mold on. Those fruit-shaped refrigerator magnets are usually a good way to go, since they have the texture and come in appropriate candy sizes. Make sure that you clean them thoroughly before using on your mold.

Follow the instructions into mixing the mold. Usually, you have to mix the two colors of silicone together and keep kneading until you end up with a kind of silicone dough.
Determine how thick you want your candy to be. Your dough should be twice as thick. For example, if you want to have a one-inch candy piece, your dough should be two inches when flattened out.
Once you’ve determined your dough thickness, flatten it out using a rolling pin.
Gently but firmly rub in the object you want the mold to follow, and gently remove it. Don’t allow it to pierce through the dough, just enough so that the texture will remain. Do this step quickly, as you only have 30 minutes before the dough hardens completely.
Leave the silicone dough to cure completely for an hour.
Once the dough has cured, spray some cooking oil into the candy molds. Powdered sugar is also pretty effective. This will make the hardened candy easier to remove later on.
Prepare your liquid candy preparation.
Pour the liquid candy into the molds, and let harden.
Once the candies have hardened, remove them. Clean your candy molds and put them away. You can use them for molding gelatin, butter or even chocolate.

Method One: Using Flour And Cornstarch

Two teaspoons of white flour
Five teaspoons of cornstarch
Four teaspoons of vegetable shortening
Eight drops of glycerine
Cold cream
Food coloring

Procedure:

Wash the containers you’re going to use with water and soap, then dry thoroughly.
Create a thick paste by mixing the cornstarch, shortening and flour in a container.
Put in the glycerine drops, then stir the mixture, so it becomes smooth and can be easily spread.
Divide this mixture into small cups, depending on how many different colors you’re planning to make. Afterwards, add the different food colorings to the cups, and mix them well.

Measure two teaspoons of cornstarch and put in the container.
Add a teaspoon of diaper cream to the cornstarch, then mix them together.
Put in a teaspoon of water, a little at a time. Mix until you get a smooth consistency. If the mixture’s too thin, add more cornstarch. If too thick, add some more water.
Separate the mix into the cups. For every container, add a drop of food coloring. Mix until the color is well-blended.

Method Three: Using Facial Lotion

What You’ll Need:

Facial lotion (find one with a gentle formula)
Liquid food coloring

Procedure:

Wash the containers, the same way as the first method.
Put a squirt of facial lotion in the container. If you’re making more than one color, put some lotion on a separate container.

Materials

Before you begin to assemble your pair of fairy wings, you should assemble all of the items that you will need. The most important materials include steel wire (in either 16 gauge or 14 gauge) which will be used to make the actual structure of the wings, and large size pantyhose that you will use to stretch over the wire to create the look of the wings. Other materials that will be necessary during construction are pliers, scissors, wire cutters, duct tape, safety pins, magic markers, and a needle and thread.

Good Practice for Fairy Wing Construction

Once you have assembled all of the items that you will need, you can start making your own set of fairy wings. Start by cutting the wire to a length between six and nine feet. It is important to remember the two key rules of fairy wing construction at this point: do not make your wings too large or you will risk them getting caught on items around you, and make sure that your wings are not too heavy. Having large wings or heavy wings can lead to injury at some point of time, so keep the wings small and light.

Shaping the Wire

After your wire has been cut, shape it into a figure eight style shape. Make sure that both loops are exactly the same size. Cut off the legs of the pantyhose where they connect with the main groin part. Set the groin section aside. Stretch one leg over each side of the figure eight you made earlier and pull it until it is tightly stretched around the loop. Use your safety pins to temporarily secure each pantyhose. Bend the wire into a wing shape much like a butterfly’s wing looks. Stretch the pantyhose again until it is very tight and secure it again with a safety pin. Sew the pantyhose with the needle and thread once you are satisfied with the look.

Decoration

When the wing looks how you want it to, you can decorate it in whatever way you like. Use magic markers to color them as you please. You can even add all kinds of embellishment to the wings with beads, glitter, and feathers.

Creating the Tank Top and Vest

Once you’ve got your wings looking beautiful you will need to create a way to tie them on your back. Take the groin section from the pantyhose you set aside earlier and cut out the crotch area to create a tank top. Alternatively, you can take the tank top and turn it into a vest by cutting the pantyhose down the front – a perfect option for larger children and adults.

How to Build a Coffin

If you are looking for a great addition to your Halloween haunted house (or if you just want to freak people out when they come to visit), try this cheap and easy-to-build home made coffin!

Required Materials:

Cardboard or ¼ inch Plywood
Duct Tape
Black Paint
Cabinet Hinges

Required Tools

Screws
Screwdriver
Saw (if using plywood)
Wood Glue
L-Brackets
Hinges

Instructions

Most coffins are seven feet long by three feet wide. However, the best way to make sure your coffin is the right size, is to measure the space that you want to use (or the person you want to fit inside of it), and then also measure any of the props or pieces you want to be able to fit inside.This will tell you how big your coffin needs to be.

Get you cardboard or plywood, whichever you are using. Measure out the dimensions onto the building material of choice and then cut out the appropriate lengths. Assuming you want a coffin that is seven feet by three feet, you should end up with a base of that dimension (two, if you decide that your coffin needs to have a lid). The coffin sides should be seven feet long and up to three feet high, one and a half to two feet should suffice if you aren’t putting too much into the coffin. The short sides (the top and bottom), should be three feet long by however high your sides are.
Attach sides of the coffin to the coffin base. If you choose to use plywood, all you will need to attach the sides is duct tape-a lot of duct tape. If you choose to use plywood, you can use L-Brackets on the inside of the coffin or wood glue and screws to make sure the sides are secure. If you only want a temporary coffin, use the L-Brackets and then you can save the wood to use again later.
If you use L-Brackets, drill the L-brackets into the base and then screw them into the sides. You can also add an L-bracket in each corner to make the walls of the coffin more secure.
If your coffin has a lid, you can simply set it on top of the coffin. Decide on which side you want the coffin to “open.”
If your coffin is made of cardboard, secure the top to the side with a lot of sturdy duct tape. With plywood, you can use two regular cabinet hinges. These hinges should be attached on the inside of the coffin and should be screwed in.The hinges should have about three feet of space between them.
If using plywood, screw in a small scrap of wood to the bottom and the top of the coffin, at the edges. These small pieces of wood will support the weight of the lid. If you do not have these pieces of wood in place, the coffin lid might just fall into the coffin.
Paint the whole thing black, or you can weather the wood to give it a more realistic look.
